Business Development Manager – Construction (Scaffolding)
Location: Trafford Park, Manchester
Salary: £35,000–£45,000 + Car Allowance + Uncapped Commission
* Premier Scaffolding Ltd is an established scaffolding contractor operating since 2005, delivering system scaffolding and access solutions across the North West.
* We are entering a structured growth phase and are looking for a hungry, commercially driven Business Development Manager to build pipeline, win work and help stabilise consistent utilisation.
Responsibilities
* Build and manage a structured pipeline of new opportunities across the North West
* Use Glenigans and LinkedIn Sales Navigator to identify projects and decision-makers
* Open doors with Commercial Managers, Buyers, Project Managers and Directors
* Secure invitations to tender and negotiated opportunities
* Attend contractor meetings and site visits
* Ensure opportunities are progressed through a clear follow-up and closing process
* Report weekly on meetings, pipeline and wins to the Managing Director
Requirements
* 5+ years’ construction business development experience
* Background in specialist subcontracting (scaffolding/access/temporary works, steel, façade, groundworks or similar)
* Strong contractor network across Greater Manchester / North West
* Comfortable working to targets and being paid on delivery
* Full UK driving licence
Commission (uncapped, paid on delivery)
Commission is paid on new business cash received (ex VAT), with rates linked to agreed project margin (no low-margin turnover chasing), plus accelerators for high performance.
