You will act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for electrical systems and energy management at the Ware Campus. You will manage a team of highly skilled engineers and subcontractors to ensure the safe, compliant, and efficient delivery of electrical engineering services and energy projects. This role will also drive sustainability initiatives to reduce carbon emissions, enhance operational reliability, and align with GSK's Net Zero Carbon targets.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Overseeing electrical infrastructure: Manage the site's electrical systems, support capital projects, and ensure compliance with regulations.
2. Team management: Lead and develop a team of engineers and subcontractors, including acting as the electrical SME within value stream teams.
3. Energy and sustainability: Develop strategies to reduce emissions, oversee energy regulatory compliance, and implement renewable energy technologies.
4. Capital project delivery: Support the delivery of electrical and energy projects, driving innovation and developing site plans.
5. Stakeholder engagement: Build relationships with external organizations and promote professional registration among team members.
6. Performance improvement: Monitor system performance, coach problem-solving, and develop long-term solutions.
The ideal candidate will have a degree in Electrical Engineering (Master's preferred), extensive experience with HV/LV systems, knowledge of energy management and sustainability initiatives, and professional registration with the IET. Experience with GMP regulations, renewable energy, and condition-based monitoring technologies is also required.
