Job Description:Welder/FabricatorJob Title:Birtley, Tyne & WearTemporary, Full-TimePurpose of the RoleTo carry out high-quality welding and fabrication of ground-engaging buckets and attachments, ensuring all work meets required safety and quality standards.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform MIG welding using 1.2mm bare wireComplete multi-run fillet welds to a high standardWork on plate thicknesses ranging from 6mm to 200mmUse oxy/acetylene cutting equipment safely and effectivelyOperate general hand tools for fabrication tasksInterpret basic engineering drawings (if required)Maintain a clean and safe working environmentMeet production and quality targetsUndertake a weld test as part of the roleEssential RequirementsTime-served Welder/FabricatorMinimum 2 years post-apprenticeship experienceExperience with MIG welding processesAbility to perform multi-run weldingCompetent using hand tools and cutting equipmentStrong attention to detail and qualityDesirable RequirementsValid crane certificate (preferred but not essential)Experience in heavy fabrication or earthmoving equipmentSkills & CompetenciesGood manual dexterity and technical abilityAbility to work independently and as part of a teamStrong work ethic and reliabilityWillingness to learn and undertake trainingWorking Hours & PayShift Patterns:Nights:MonWed: 21:00 07:30Thurs: 20:30 07:00Pay Rate:£17.22 per hour (including shift allowance)Overtime availableBenefitsOn-site parkingOvertime opportunitiesTraining providedAdditional InformationImmediate start availableInclusive and diverse workplace environmentEqual opportunities employerJob Types: Full-time, Temp to permTPBN1_UKTJ
