Job Posting Title Financial Crime MI & Analytics Specialist Salary Band £34, 319 - £46, 431 Grade: MP3 Job Description About the Role As a Financial Crime MI & Analytics Specialist, you’ll play an important role in supporting the bank’s ability to understand, monitor, and reduce financial crime risk. You will work with a wide range of data sources to produce high‑quality Management Information (MI), analytical insights, dashboards, and reporting that guide thoughtful decision‑making and strengthen our financial crime strategy. Int his role you’ll develop MI packs, maintain and enhance Power BI dashboards, and help ensure that our data remains accurate, timely and meaningful. Your work will support risk governance, operational efficiency, capacity planning, and proactive risk detection across the bank. You will also contribute to the continuous improvement of the bank’s analytics capability; identifying trends, interpreting customer behaviours, and helping shape analytical models used in financial crime detection. About You You will be a financial crime professional who enjoys working with data and transforming it into insights that are clear, accessible and valuable. You bring curiosity, care, and a collaborative mindset, and you feel energised by partnering with stakeholders across the organisation to enhance our financial crime resilience. Skills You will bring: Experience delivering MI enhancements and analytical insight for Financial Crime Operations Inclusive communication skills and the ability to present data clearly to technical and non‑technical audiences Careful attention to detail and accuracy and a commitment to accuracy in reporting Ability to identify process improvements and raise financial crime awareness Strong analytical skills, including working with large datasets and identifying anomalies or inconsistencies High IT literacy and expertise with MS Office, especially Excel Experience with SQL/SAS and Power BI Experience producing clear visualisations such as dashboards and reporting packs Knowledge of financial crime risks and controls About Us The Newcastle Building Society Group comprises of Newcastle Building Society, Manchester Building Society, Newcastle Financial Advisers and Newcastle Strategic Solutions.
