Job Title: Forklift Engineer - Field based
Salary: £35-£38K

Key Responsibilities
* Perform servicing, repair, and maintenance of diesel, and electric forklift trucks, including hydraulic systems, transmissions, engines, and batteries
* Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic faults and execute corrective repairs on-site or in workshop environments
* Carry out preventative maintenance and respond to emergency breakdowns swiftly and effectively
* compliance and safety standards
* Complete accurate job sheets, service reports, parts usage logs, and client communications for each assignment
* Maintain van stock levels, liaise with parts controllers or service managers, and escalate quotes for major repairs
Required Qualifications & Skills
* NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance, Motor Vehicle Engineering, Plant Maintenance, or equivalent vocational qualification or higher
* Proven experience in mechanical, hydraulic, and basic electrical fault finding, ideally including forklift trucks or plant machinery
* Full UK driving licence is essential
* Strong analytic and diagnostic skills, proficiency using diagnostic tools or hand held devices
* Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to work independently or within a team
