Assistant Accountant (part-qualified)

A growing international business is looking to add an Assistant Accountant to its collaborative EMEA finance team.
This opportunity offers far more than a traditional transactional accounting role, with a mix of financial reporting, compliance and business improvement projects. Working closely with senior leadership, you'll gain exposure to multiple European entities and have the chance to play a key role in both day-to-day finance operations and wider strategic opportunities.

Assistant Accountant Responsibilities- Support monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting across several European entities.
- Assist with statutory accounts preparation and year-end compliance activities.
- Prepare balance sheet and bank reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial records.
- Support external audit processes and liaise with third-party advisers where required.
- Assist with tax, VAT and regulatory reporting obligations across multiple jurisdictions.
- Contribute to finance transformation, system enhancement and process improvement projects.
- Produce financial analysis and reporting to support business performance and decision making.
- Help strengthen controls, documentation and finance best practices across the wider function.
Assistant Accountant Requirements- Part-qualified ACCA, CIMA or ACA
- Experience supporting month-end close and financial reporting activities
- Strong reconciliation skills and attention to detail
- Confident Excel user with the ability to analyse and interpret financial data
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships across the business
- Positive, hands-on approach and willingness to get involved in projects and process improvements
- Experience within a multi-entity or international environment would be beneficial, but not essential.
