Join Our Team as a Finance Business Partner!
Are you ready to take your finance career to the next level? We are looking for a dynamic Finance Business Partner to join our team at Sysco GB! In this role, you will be the vital link between our commercial team and the finance department, providing insightful forecasts, reporting, and analysis for our Executive and International finance teams.
As a self-starter with a knack for effective business partnership, you will dive deep into the details when necessary. Your collaboration with finance and business leaders across various teams will be crucial in delivering guidance and insights. You’ll be liaising with teams to understand variances in key performance measures while managing processes and data flows.
Work Environment:
We offer a hybrid working contract, allowing you to spend most of your time working from home. However, you will need to attend our office in Ashford, Kent once a week, so flexibility with travel and commuting is essential for project and team meetings.
Your Key Responsibilities:
* Collate and sense-check daily metrics, weekly flash results, and monthly performance forecasts for informed decision-making.
* Distribute performance packs that provide a single version of the truth to business units, covering relevant measures and metrics.
* Partner with business units to understand key drivers and variances, pulling analysis to support your insights.
* Conduct month-end activities, including reconciliations and variance analysis.
* Submit required financial and non-financial information to the Executive team, acting as the main liaison with the business.
* Oversee continuous improvement in data quality, shifting focus from data collection to insightful analysis.
* Recommend, develop, and implement policies that guide the organization in maintaining and enhancing profitability.
About You:
You are a fully qualified finance professional (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) or a passed finalist, currently thriving as a Finance Business Partner, Management Accountant, or Finance Analyst. Experience in FP&A is a plus, but not mandatory.
We seek someone confident in engaging with stakeholders at all levels, capable of constructively challenging decisions and offering solutions. Your finance expertise will be essential in partnering closely with the team on risk and continuous improvement. Strong analytical insight and the ability to understand trends and results are crucial. Proficiency in financial analysis and modeling, along with advanced Microsoft Excel skills, is required. Familiarity with SAP or Workday is a bonus!
