Salary: £65,000 - 80,000 per year Requirements: We require strong C# development experience. We require experience with .NET Framework and .NET Core. We require hands-on WinForms or desktop application development experience. We require experience with MS SQL Server. We require experience in refactoring and modernisation projects. We require experience working in Agile environments. We require familiarity with CI/CD practices. We require knowledge of testing methodologies such as TDD. We require cloud experience. We would prefer experience migrating legacy systems. We would prefer exposure to React or JavaScript. We would ideally like someone who can attend onsite regularly during the early stages of the project for collaboration and workshops. Responsibilities: We will ask you to work closely with our CTO and wider engineering team. We will ask you to assess, improve, and progressively enhance our established C# codebase. We will ask you to help evolve our legacy platform from an on-premise desktop environment to a modern .NET Core, cloud-based architecture. We will ask you to support transformation across a large programme of work with around 40 projects in the pipeline. We will expect you to contribute to technical direction and architecture decisions. We will expect you to solve complex engineering challenges across legacy and modern systems. We will expect you to bring greenfield thinking within an established business. We will expect you to collaborate with a small, engineering team and wider leadership. We will expect you to participate in collaboration, planning, and technical workshops, especially during early project stages.
