Forensic Healthcare ,
Primary Care

Community Services. This is a unique opportunity to lead clinical quality, governance and workforce development across a diverse and complex range of services, including custody healthcare, Sexual Assault Referral Centres (SARCs), GP services and ADHD/neurodevelopmental pathways. About the Role
As Head of Clinical Practice, you will: Set the clinical vision and professional standards across forensic healthcare, primary care and community services. Lead the development and standardisation of evidence-based clinical models and pathways. Strengthen governance, patient safety and quality assurance across all services. Drive workforce capability, resilience and leadership development. Provide senior clinical assurance to the Group Medical Director and Executive Team. Build strong relationships with commissioners, police services, Integrated Care Boards (ICBs), Integrated Care Systems (ICSs) and regulators. Support service transformation, innovation and business development. A key focus of this role will be enhancing clinical quality, risk management and workforce resilience within forensic healthcare services, ensuring safe, lawful and evidence-based care in high-risk environments. About You
We are looking for a registered healthcare professional (Nursing and Midwifery Council, Health and Care Professions Council or General Medical Council) with substantial senior clinical leadership experience. You will bring: Significant experience in forensic healthcare, custody medicine or other complex healthcare environments. Strong expertise in clinical governance, risk management and patient safety. Experience leading multidisciplinary teams, including doctors and allied health professionals. A proven track record of service improvement and workforce development. The ability to influence at executive and system-partner level. Desirable experience includes SARCs, ADHD services, neurodevelopmental care and work across both NHS and independent healthcare sectors. Why Join PHL?
