Role: Administration Assistant Location: Harlow, Essex Pay: £15.00 per hour Hours: 37hrs Monday to Friday (Hybrid) We are working with Harlow Council to recruit an Administration Assistant to join their Legal Team on a full time temporary basis for an initial period of up to 6 months. This role offers the opportunity to work within a busy local authority environment, supporting the Legal Service with a range of administrative and case management duties. Please note that this position requires attendance on site at least 3 days per week. The role You will provide day to day administrative support to the Council's Legal team, helping to ensure legal matters are progressed efficiently and documentation is managed accurately. This is a varied role within a professional setting where organisation, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities are important. Key responsibilities Providing administrative support across the Legal Service Acknowledging new instructions and liaising with internal departments to obtain information and documentation Opening, preparing, and maintaining case files Retrieving and managing documents and records Undertaking research and information gathering when required Supporting the preparation of court documents, bundles, and indexes Providing administrative support to Legal Officers and professional staff Assisting with the systems used within the team Supporting processes linked to quality and compliance standards Providing administrative support with Freedom of Information and Data Protection enquiries Who this role might suit This opportunity could suit someone currently working as an Administration Assistant, Administrator, Office Assistant, Business Support Assistant, Legal Administrator, Case Administrator, Clerical Assistant, or Customer Service Administrator.
