Your role and responsibilities As Finance Coordinator in the Business, Finance, Performance, Digital and Communications team, you’ll play a key role in supporting the financial and business operations that underpin commissioning and service delivery in Public Health and Communities. On a typical day, you will: Manage financial and administrative systems, ensuring compliance and data security. Monitor budgets, process invoices and purchase orders, and support financial reporting. Liaise with internal and external contacts, including senior managers and suppliers. Provide guidance on policies and procedures, including basic training and task support. Prioritise workloads, support projects, and identify opportunities for service improvement. Respond to financial queries and escalate issues where needed. Support budget reviews, audits, and management decisions with accurate data. Coordinate mailbox activity for purchase orders and invoices, ensuring timely processing. Assist with transferring financial data between internal systems. Contribute to service improvements and project support through research and planning. You will need Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
