Non-Executive Director
Remuneration: £5,272 per annum + reasonable expenses
Approximate Time Commitment: 24 days per annum (2 days a month).
Here at Trent & Dove, we are committed to our mission “to provide homes and services that enable people and communities to thrive”. We are looking to recruit a new Non-Executive Director who can help us deliver the strategic objectives for our organisation and who has strong skills in Finance and/or Treasury Management. If a candidate also has skills or experience in ICT or leading ICT functions, that would be beneficial but is not essential. All our Non-Executive Directors are members of one of our Board Committees, and if appointed, you would join our Board’s Audit & Risk Assurance Committee.
Trent & Dove strongly encourages applications from all sections of the community. We operate an inclusive and transparent recruitment and assessment process, underpinned by a commitment to equality and diversity. We are particularly keen to hear from groups under-represented at Board level, such as those from diverse ethnic backgrounds, younger age groups, individuals with disabilities, LGBTQ+ community members, and residents of areas with low social mobility.
Previous experience as a Board or Committee member, or understanding of the social housing sector and regulatory context, would be useful but is not essential, as training and support can be provided. We welcome applications from those with a particular affinity for our work, or knowledge of the communities we serve.
Who we are:

For 24 years, we’ve provided quality, affordable homes across East Staffordshire, North-west Leicestershire, and South Derbyshire, managing over 6,500 homes. We are a non-profit with social purpose objectives; profits are reinvested into our organisation and communities to improve services and support local initiatives.
Our activities include new housing development, regeneration, asset management, and investment programmes aimed at improving our stock and ensuring homes are future-proofed. We work closely with local authorities, charities, and community groups to create thriving communities that residents are proud to be part of.
