What we are looking for? Highly skilled compassionate patient centred clinician with significant experience in the assessment of Autism. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and confidence in interpreting and acting on quality data. We require the post holder to combine deep clinical expertise with innovation and a drive to improve systems and outcomes. A hypothesis-testing approach to clinical practice is of upmost importance, along with excellent written and verbal communication skills, reliability, and good timekeeping. This requires lead clinicians to have a clear understanding of normal development and the psychological sequalae of life events. What You’ll Be Doing: Work as part of MDT to collect interview data from client and/or informant and will interpret information alongside observational data collected by a colleague using the ADOS-2. Work with the Clinical Director to deliver CARE ADHD's Quality Strategy in collaboration with the Quality and Safety Department. Lead clinical quality initiatives, translating audit, feedback, and incident data into action plans. Support the delivery of peer supervision, MDT, and ongoing training for the clinical team. Onboard new CARE ASC adult assessors Respond to patient feedback, clinical incidents, and complaints in collaboration with the Quality & Safety team. Drive continuous improvement by analysing data from audits, patient outcomes, and clinician feedback. Provide expert clinical input on complex and high-risk ASC cases. Contribute to clinical governance meetings, policy development, and research projects. Deliver teaching and training on ASC assessment, diagnosis, and treatment. Collaborate with Operations and Quality & Safety departments to enhance safety, efficiency, and patient engagement. Support data collection, analysis, and interpretation to inform service development and demonstrate clinical effectiveness. Clinical commitment: see urgent and high risk patients. Provide on call support for urgent clinical escalations out of hours. To thrive in this role you’ll need to: Essential attributes: Professional qualification such as psychologist, psychiatrist, paediatrician, nurse, speech and language therapist or occupational therapist. Registration with HCPC, GMC or NMC. Training in the ADI-R, or familiarity with collecting a developmental history as part of neurodevelopmental pathways. Training in ADOS-2 Demonstrable experience in clinical leadership, supervision, and governance. Passion for quality improvement, education, and service innovation. Highly proficient using digital tools and platforms, with the ability to quickly learn new technologies Confident interpreting and acting on clinical data. Excellent communication and team leadership skills. Commitment to compassionate, person-centred care.
