We are looking for flexible and enthusiastic Nursing Assistant that will join our dynamic team here in Surgery Centre at East Surrey Hospital. We are 12 bedded Day Surgery/Short Stay unit with 2 Procedure rooms for minor Urology cases and Pain Management. Our recommendation rate from patients is always 100% this is due to the compassion and team work of our staff.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Assist in delivering a high standard of holistic care to patients, recognizing their individuality, and promoting privacy and dignity at all times
* Perform, document and report clinical observations and report changes in patient's condition to nurse in charge or Consultant. This may include temperature, manual blood pressure, pulse, respiration, oxygen saturation and blood glucose monitoring.
* Assist the Day Surgery nursing team and multidisciplinary team with specified tests requested by Consultants and Lead Nurses that may be performed in the day surgery setting, charging and inputting data for these on the Clinic computer system.
* Maintain a safe care environment by minimizing risk and applying the principles of safe movement and handling of patients and moving of equipment
