Job Summary
Senior Psychologist positions are available at Gatwick IRC (440 patients) and Derwentside IRC (up to 80 women aged 18+). The role involves clinical leadership, therapeutic delivery, and line management of an Assistant Psychologist.
Hours & Schedule
Monday – Friday (08:00 – 16:00 or 09:00 – 17:00). 2.5 days on-site at Gatwick IRC, 1 day per month at Derwentside IRC, remaining days remote. 26.25 hours per week.
Salary
£64,455 – £74,896 per annum FTE, depending on experience.

Main Duties
* Provide clinical support and oversight to the Integrated Mental Health Team.
* Conduct psychological assessments and support complex multi-disciplinary formulations.
* Deliver psychological interventions to complex cases, including individual and group work as part of the Trauma Informed ‘Making Sense’ Programme.
* Deliver teaching and training to health‑care and prison staff.
* Contribute to audit, service evaluation and research activities.
* Supervise and line‑manage an Assistant Psychologist.
* Represent psychological expertise in policy and service development meetings.
* Assist with recruitment and interview duties for junior staff.
Requirements
* Qualified clinical, counselling or forensic psychologist registered with HCPC.
* Postgraduate qualification/training in at least one recognised psychotherapeutic modality (e.g. CBT, systemic/family therapy, mindfulness, CBT‑based, DBT, mentalisation, schema).
* Experience providing evidence‑based interventions to adults with complex mental‑health needs.
* Experience working with forensic mental‑health populations.
* Working knowledge of clinical governance and relevant tools.
* Legal right to work in the UK; additional vetting and security checks are required.
Additional Criteria
* Experience in trauma‑informed, multidisciplinary care.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills for multidisciplinary team interaction.
* Commitment to continuing professional development and adherence to HCPC, BPS and other professional codes.
Compliance
* Disclosure and Barring Service check required.
* Current UK professional registration (HCPC).
