This role will focus on building capability within the Operational Delivery Profession (ODP) and will sit in the ODP Hub. The ODP hub is a dedicated team focused on investing in operational people, capability, and skills, collaborating across the organisation and government to create, deliver, and embed ODP products and services.
You will work as part of a small team in the ODP hub, leading key change initiatives across the organisation in partnership with various other departmental areas.
Responsibilities
Deliver with a departmental lens against the Professions’ Strategic Pillars (including, but not limited to):
Developing Future Skills
* Embedding and evolving the standards for the ODP Professional Skills Framework
* Enhancing the ODP Learning Curriculum with a Departmental Role specific lens
* Expanding Development Opportunities across all grades (e.g., Developing Pathways as an organisational priority)
* Supporting Field Communities and Business Surveys Pathways to invest in Surveys capability
* Building a stronger Talent Pipeline through Apprenticeships
* Leveraging AI and Digital Transformation for Operational Delivery roles
Building the Centre of Excellence
* Collaborating with departmental operational colleagues and Subject Matter Experts to develop content and build communities
* Promoting and embedding ODP across the department
* Working with Strategic Resourcing and Organisation Design and Development teams to deliver an expanded ODP Flexible Resourcing approach, focusing on the right ODP roles, skills and capability to achieve organisational priorities
* Partnering with Learning & Development teams and senior leaders to embed ODP into wider learning strategies and workforce development plans
