The Role
Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a specialist education provision in Headington, Oxford, to recruit a dedicated EYFS Teacher or SEN Primary Teacher. This role involves supporting young people aged 16+ with Special Educational Needs, including autism, to develop life skills, independence, and functional learning skills.
You will work within a small, supportive setting delivering a highly personalised curriculum that prioritises communication, emotional regulation, independence, and real-world learning.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver engaging, structured lessons tailored to individual needs
* Support learners to develop life skills, independence, and functional skills
* Adapt teaching strategies to meet sensory, communication, and behavioural needs
* Foster a calm, safe, and inclusive learning environment
* Work collaboratively with support staff and external professionals
* Track progress and contribute to individual learning plans
About You
We are looking for a teacher who is:
* Qualified (QTS/QTLS preferred, but experienced unqualified teachers may be considered)
* Experienced in SEN, autism, or complex needs
* Confident supporting older learners (16+) with developmental and life-skills-based learning
* Patient, resilient, and passionate about inclusive education
* Comfortable delivering a curriculum focused on life skills rather than traditional academics

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
