Responsibilities
* Maintain high technical standards.
* Attend project and work briefings as required.
* Drive/operate vehicles and plant requiring general and specialist skills, including vehicle checks, routine maintenance (e.g., oil and water checks), and cleaning.
* Perform all aspects of highway maintenance works, including routine and cyclic maintenance activities, minor civil works, litter picking, etc.
* Conduct winter maintenance operations.
* Handle emergency call out operations.
* Take responsibility for the safety of yourself and others within your team, ensuring compliance with relevant health and safety legislation and safe operation to protect members of the public.
* Carry out vehicle checks prior to shift starting and correctly fill in defect books.
* Record drivers hours.
* Allocate and capture time and resource utilisation in line with the operated allocation system.
* Keep records, complete all necessary paperwork, and communicate and liaise with other employees of Amey, subcontractors, the emergency services, the police, the general public, clients and customers.

* Driving Licence
* HGV Class 2 Licence (Preferable)

Working Hours
The standard hours of work are 42 hours per week, 4 on/4 off, rotating days/nights.
