Position Objective:
Responsible for carrying out finished goods and raw materials testing within an ISO accredited laboratory environment. Essential functions include tissue culture testing, microbiologicalanalysisand analytical chemistry. Successful performance of job duties contributes to meeting testing schedules, customer satisfaction, departmentalsafetyand qualityobjectives.
Essential Functions:
Perform raw material and finished goods release testing according to standard operating procedures ina timelyand efficient manner. Key tasks for this role include:
1. Raw Material Sampling and testing
2. Water sampling and testing
3. Identification by FTIR
4. Basic wet chemistry techniques,karlfisher analysis,andHPLC.
5. Calibration and maintenance of equipment
6. May berequiredto perform other related duties asrequiredand/or assigned.
7. Provide support toinitiateand implement validation processes, technicalinvestigationsand improvement initiatives.
8. Contribute to the preparation of written reports as and whenrequired.
9. Maintain thorough and complete product test recordsper inhouse testing procedures andin accordance withISO 13485 standards.
10. Participate in personal development opportunities to further enhance skills and knowledge relevant to the position.
Education:
11. Requires a bachelor’s degree within a Chemistry, Microbiology or Biology discipline.
Experience:
12. Previous experience in QC testing within biotechnology environment or a similar manufacturing environment would be a strong advantage
13. Preferably prior experience in a GMP or laboratory setting
14. Preferably experience in raw material and/or water testing, identification by FTIR or experience in wet chemistry techniques, Karl Fischer analysis, HPLC, UPLC.
15. Good aseptic techniques required
16. Strong interpersonal skills and a dedication to excellence
17. Ability to troubleshoot lab based queries and prioritise workload
18. Able to work independently as well as work within a diverse team
19. Familiar with MS Office products
20. Excellent oral and written communication skills

21. Strong oral and written communication skills with a demonstrated ability to work in a cross functional team environment and to effectively interact with all levels of the company.
22. Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with internal and external development team members are essential.
