Job Title: Social Work Assistant Location: Birmingham Children’s Trust Birmingham Children’s Trust is looking for a dedicated and motivated Social Work Assistant to join their team, supporting children, young people, and families across the city. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of vulnerable children while gaining valuable experience in a supportive environment. Key Responsibilities: Support qualified Social Workers in delivering high-quality services to children and families. Carry out visits, observations, and direct work with children and young people. Assist with assessments, care planning, and reviews. Maintain accurate case notes and records in line with Trust policies. Provide practical and emotional support to children, young people, and families. Liaise with partner agencies and professionals to ensure coordinated support. Requirements: Experience of working with children, young people, or families in a professional or voluntary capacity. Strong communication and organisational skills. Ability to build positive relationships and provide support with empathy and understanding. Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures (training provided if needed).
