Role and Responsibilities
* Collaborate with Production to ensure the smooth transition from design to manufacture.
* Provide technical expertise across the business, supporting departments such as Sales, Service, and Production.
* Drive design and development, analyse risk, failure mode, tolerance and other project tasks.
* Design and develop products to meet customer specification and advise customers on the best design solutions.
* Take the product from conception to completion, leading design reviews while liaising closely with customers and suppliers.
* Work comfortably on several projects simultaneously in a fast‑paced environment.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
* Problem‑solving techniques (e.g., FMEA / DFMEA / Risk Analysis)
* Experience working as a Design Engineer within a manufacturing environment.
* Experience using 3D modelling: SolidWorks / AutoDesk Inventor
* Solid Mechanical Engineering background.
* Previous experience working with a range of materials such as metals, steel, plastics, etc.
* Ability to analyse product performance.
