We’re recruiting for a high performing Trading Manager to help our business continue to grow and succeed. The role focuses on ensuring stores are fully stocked to deliver a fantastic customer experience while maintaining legal and safety standards. Reporting into the Store Manager, you will lead a team and drive availability and performance across all departments.
About Morrisons
From a Bradford market stall to the UK’s fifth largest supermarket, Morrisons serves customers across the UK with almost 500 stores and an online home delivery service. We source and process much of our fresh food through our own facilities and invest in training and development for our colleagues.
Responsibilities
* Lead the team to deliver the best possible shopping experience for every customer
* Plan and organise current promotions or in-store events
* Listen to customer feedback and respond accordingly
* Ensure market-leading availability across the store
* Work with other store managers to lead a supportive, performance-driven department
* Manage people routines, including scheduling, absence, performance and talent conversations
* Deliver training to ensure the team can perform effectively
* Motivate and lead colleagues across departments to perform with confidence
* Identify and develop talent within the department
* Build relationships with other operating departments
* Lead colleagues to deliver outstanding performance against relevant targets
* Take a leadership role within the store
* Plan resources thoroughly
