With 20 years of experience, The Borgen Project has supported the passage of numerous bills benefiting nearly 500 million people in developing countries.
Advocate is a great entry-level volunteer position for those wanting to join The Borgen Project.
Key Responsibilities
1. Serve as an ambassador for the world’s poor. Build awareness of issues and ways to help.
2. Manage and implement fundraising campaigns.
3. Represent The Borgen Project in your city — attend events and engage the community.
4. Contact government leaders in support of poverty-reduction programs.
Qualifications
1. Excellent communication skills (oral, written, presentation).
2. Ability to self-manage and prioritize tasks.
Location: U.S., U.K., and Canada
Salary: Unpaid
Duration: 3 months
Hours: 4 hours per week
Start Date: Flexible; new programs begin every month, you choose your start month.
