Job Description
We are currently looking for a Van Driver to join our growing team, delivering goods - including furniture and other heavy items - across the UK. The role involves multi-drop deliveries, ranging from 7 to 20 drops per day, and requires someone who is physically fit, reliable, and customer-focused.
Key Responsibilities
* Drive a company van to deliver furniture and other goods across the UK
* Load and unload heavy items (including sofas, beds, wardrobes, etc.) safely and efficiently
* Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to meet time schedules
* Handle goods with care and ensure they are delivered in excellent condition
* Complete all delivery paperwork accurately
* Deliver excellent customer service at every drop
* Perform daily vehicle checks and report any issues
* Comply with all road safety regulations and company procedures
* Load the van with deliveries in preparation for the next day's run
Requirements
* Must be 25 years old or over (for insurance purposes)
* Full UK driving licence with no more than 3 penalty points
* Previous van driving experience preferred - experience with heavy lifting or furniture delivery is a strong advantage
* Good understanding of UK roads and motorways
* Must be able to use manual transmission
* Physically fit and able to lift/carry heavy items safely
* Good communication and customer service skills
* Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
Working Hours
Vary depending on routes - early starts required between 4am to 6pm. Full-time role with potential weekend work.
