Operations Director - Civils - Unite People Ltd.

Currently, we are looking for a Project Director to lead and build a region for a Tier 1 contractor with a pipeline of work near £500million.

Responsibilities

1. Pre-Construction
2. Lead the Tender Team consisting of Estimator, CM, QS, other appropriate staff and external consultants as necessary.
3. Manage the production of the tender to ensure that a competitive tender is submitted per the requirements.
4. Prepare the programme, method statements, prelims and submission document.
5. Chair start-up & internal meetings, prepare the procurement strategy with the QS and Prequalification of key supply chain (early awards).
6. Prepare a preliminary Risk Register and mitigate/manage any risks for the duration of the project.
7. Construction
8. Arrange the start-up meeting and manage the preparation of the PEP.
9. Agree on the commencement date, and arrange for the completion of the contract documents.
10. Ensure that all aspects of quality, the Environment and progress are following the contracted requirements.
11. Assist in the selection and vetting of major S/Cs and suppliers (including HSEQS vetting).
12. Post Construction
13. Ensure a customer aftercare service is in place for the client.
14. Complete the project data sheets.
15. Protect Contractor contractual position by ensuring that the Client & design teams are satisfied and that there is a strong relationship with future potential in place.

Qualifications

1. Working knowledge of Construction techniques, Design techniques & BIM modelling.
2. Comprehensive knowledge of Building and Health and Safety/Fire regulations.
3. Familiarity with working on complex, multi-disciplinary, technical projects.
4. Proficient in planning and prioritising daily site tasks.
5. Ability to identify, convert, and deliver business development opportunities.
6. Experience managing key accounts through their network, profile, and credibility in the local market.
7. Academic and/or professional industry-related management qualification.
8. Membership of an Industry related Professional Institution - such as MCIOB or CEng MICE.

Pay range and compensation package - up to £125k per annum plus package.
