The person you will support

What challenges do I have? I have autism and physical disabilities, so I use a wheelchair and other physical aids to move around. I can also get anxious and when this happens I can sometimes present behaviours that challenge.

What are my aspirations? I love all the activities such as, going to the safari park, bowling and going for a Sunday dinner, I do most of these as part of my regular routines, and I am looking for new, engaging support workers to help me to continue to get out into the community.

What sorts of people do I get on with? I'm a fun and bubble guy, and love to have fun with my staff. It is important to me that my staff team will have a joke and banter with me.

What activities do I do? I have a vehicle which staff can use to take me into the community.

How would I describe myself? I am caring, energetic, and fun to spend time with.

My team

Our values and progression

Our company strongly values internal progression, fostering a culture where our team are empowered to grow, develop their skills, and advance their careers. Hear from some of our current staff members who have climbed the career ladder in care:

Louis Benfield, Mobilisation Support Manager: "Amore has been great. I've progressed very well since joining this company, and I've seen others start from support work to working as Complex Care case officers. I've seen support workers with very little come in and progress really well into Team Leader roles. Before Amore, I was a Registered Manager supporting clients with learning disabilities and struggling with their mental health. I started here as a House Manager for a 4-1 client and then progressed to a Registered Manager position after two years. Holding the Registered Manager title for around 18 months, I have progressed onto the role of Mobilisation Support Manager. The investment from Amore is really what sets them apart. They are always looking to sort of promote people internally, and you always feel valued with them. No matter who you are, your voice is always heard and it's just a really good company to work for."
