We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Corporate Paralegal to join our growing legal team in Colchester. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive individual with strong organisational skills and a genuine interest in corporate law to develop their career within a dynamic and supportive environment.
You will work closely with senior solicitors and partners, assisting on a wide range of corporate matters including mergers and acquisitions, company reorganisations, shareholder agreements, and general company law advisory work.
Key Responsibilities
* Assisting with corporate transactions including M&A, share sales, and asset purchases
* Drafting and reviewing corporate documentation (board minutes, resolutions, shareholder agreements, articles of association)
* Conducting due diligence and preparing due diligence reports
* Managing Companies House filings and maintaining statutory registers
* Supporting with disclosure processes and transaction bibles
* Liaising with clients, accountants, and external advisors
* Legal research and preparation of briefing notes
* General administrative support to the corporate team
About You
* Previous experience in a corporate/commercial legal environment (law firm or in-house)
* Law degree (LLB) or equivalent qualification preferred
* Strong understanding of company law and corporate procedures
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Highly organised with strong attention to detail
* Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work under pressure
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal document management systems
