Job Overview
Quality Inspector - Daventry | £25,000 | Mon-Fri (8am-4pm)
We're recruiting for a Quality Inspector to join a well‑established and growing engineering business. This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in quality inspection who takes pride in maintaining high standards and supporting continuous improvement.
What You'll Be Doing
* Inspecting materials, components, and finished products at various stages of production
* Using measurement equipment such as callipers, micrometres, plug gauges, and FARO Arm
* Conducting quality checks including crack testing and weld inspections
* Carrying out weld section testing and analysing results
* Managing inspection of incoming and outgoing goods, including stock sorting
* Supporting sample approvals (first-off, mid-off, last-off as required)
* Recording inspection data using systems such as Safety Culture
* Ensuring compliance with quality standards including ISO9001, IATF16949, and ISO14001
* Supporting the investigation and resolution of quality issues
* Liaising with internal teams to maintain production and quality standards
* Using Factory Master to release or reject parts
* Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work environment
What We're Looking For
* Previous experience in a Quality Inspection or Quality Assurance role
* Experience using precision measurement equipment
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
* Good understanding of manufacturing processes
* Confident working independently and as part of a team
* Proactive and problem-solving mindset
