Trainee Estimator
You’ll be joining a supportive and down‑to‑earth team in a period of exciting growth, with turnover increasing from £10m to £15m over the past three years. This role gives you genuine hands‑on training across estimating, bid writing and business development/sales, before developing into a specialist pathway that suits your strengths. The office has a great atmosphere, plenty of friendly banter, and offers fast‑track progression for someone who’s willing to get stuck in and work hard.
What You’ll Be Doing
Estimating & Pre‑Construction
* Assist with quantity take‑offs and measurements
* Support preparation of tender documents, pricing schedules and cost plans
* Request and compare supplier/subcontractor quotations
* Help prepare scope summaries, clarifications and value‑engineering options
* Work on roofing and refurbishment tenders ranging from £50k–£3m
Bid Writing & Quality Submissions
* Draft PQQ responses and written quality submissions
* Work with technical and delivery teams to gather content
* Maintain bid resources such as case studies, CVs and method statements
* Use AI tools to turn bullet points into polished written content
Business Development & Client Interaction
* Help maintain and strengthen client relationships
* Support calls, meetings, networking events and occasional site visits
* Assist with qualifying new opportunities and managing tender pipelines

* Full‑time office‑based in Corby
* Mon–Thu: 08:30–17:00
* Fri: 08:30–16:00
* 1‑hour lunch (flexible)
