Role:Demand and Supply Planning Manager (Head of)
Salary:£65,000 - £80,000
Location:London (3 days working from the office)
We are currently supporting an exciting consumer goods manufacturing business undergoing significant transformation. With substantial investment in planning capability, systems, and process maturity, the business is now seeking an experienced Demand & Supply Planning professional to shape and elevate their planning function and make it fit for the future.
Reporting to the Supply Chain Director, you’ll lead the end to end planning - including demand forecasting, supply planning, inventory optimisation, and the S&OP process. Your focus will be to drive forecast accuracy, embed data led decision making, and strengthen cross functional alignment.
This is a highly visible, strategic leadership role at the heart of a business committed to operational excellence and continuous improvement.
About the role:
1. Lead the full supply chain planning strategy (demand forecasting, supply planning, inventory, and S&OP)
2. Own and mature the S&OP / IBP process, establishing governance, cadence, and strong cross functional alignment
3. Drive improvements in forecast accuracy and bias through best in class methodologies and analytics
4. Oversee supply planning across manufacturing partners, copackers, and third party suppliers to balance service, cost, and capacity
5. Act as the business owner for planning systems, championing enhancements, automation, and scenario modelling
6. Translate complex data into clear insights and recommendations for senior stakeholders
7. Lead, coach, and develop a high performing planning team
About you:
8. 5+ years of experience in demand planning, supply planning, and S&OP leadership within complex FMCG/manufacturing environments
9. Hands on experience with advanced planning systems, highly analytical, commercially focused, and confident managing scenario modelling and data driven recommendations
10. A strong communicator and influencer, able to partner effectively with Commercial, Finance, Operations, and senior leadership
11. Comfortable operating in a fast paced, evolving environment where you can introduce structure, clarity, and improved decision making
12. A pragmatic and engaging leader who enjoys building capability and developing teams
