Hotel Receptionist (40 hours p/w) – ibis Bridgwater

The new-build 144-room Ibis Bridgwater, opened in March 2021, is managed by Cycas Hospitality and is Cycas’ first property under the Ibis brand by Accor. The five-storey hotel features a ground-floor restaurant, Keepers Kitchen & Bar, and meeting facilities.

Job Scope

Ensure the highest standards of hospitality and welcome are demonstrated at all times. Complete all relevant procedures related to the department as laid down by the company. Promote a work culture aligned with our values.


Hours

Shifts will be a mix of early (06:45am - 3:15pm) and late (2:30pm - 11pm), 5 days a week.


Key Job Responsibilities

* Be fully familiar with the hotel’s facilities, services, and promotions; pass this information to guests to maximize hotel sales.
* Know the reward programme and its benefits; actively enroll new members.
* Anticipate guest needs, respond courteously and helpfully to requests.
* Operate the hotel front office systems proficiently.
* Post charges correctly to guest bills following standard procedures.
* Monitor hotel availability and maximize room sales opportunities.
* Handle cash, cheque, and credit transactions per hotel policies, reporting discrepancies immediately.
* Check the float and ensure accuracy.
* Pass on messages promptly and accurately.
* Have knowledge of the local area, including history, attractions, and events.
* Operate the switchboard, handling calls efficiently.
* Display and maintain a positive service attitude.


What You Should Bring

* Customer service experience, preferably in an Accor Brand (not essential).
* Previous experience in a similar role.
