Job Description
As the Health & Safety Coordinator you will be tasked with the following;
* Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures in line with legal requirements and industry standards.
* Conduct regular risk assessments and workplace safety audits to identify potential hazards.
* Provide clear guidance and training to employees on safety practices and compliance requirements.
* Investigate incidents, accidents, or near misses, and implement corrective actions where needed.
* Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and compliance documentation.
* Collaborate with management and operational teams to ensure safety measures are integrated into daily processes.
* Monitor and report on health and safety performance metrics, providing recommendations for improvement.
* Stay updated on changes to health and safety regulations that impact the industrial and manufacturing industry.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Health & Safety Coordinator should have:
* Experience in implementing safety protocols within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
* Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations applicable to the industrial and manufacturing sectors.
* Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail for maintaining accurate safety records.
* Ability to communicate effectively and deliver training to diverse teams.
