Principal responsibilities:
The following responsibilities are to be undertaken personally, or indirectly via delegation, oversight, monitoring and review of direct / indirect reportees within EFGFS Jersey:
1. Management and direction of the client service teams for all Fund Services business and clients in Jersey;
2. Director of EFG Fund Administration Limited / member of the EFG Fund Services Committee of EFG Wealth Solutions (Jersey) Limited;
3. Together with the other Executive Directors, manage the EFG Fund Services business in Jersey and devise and implement the strategy for the continued growth of EFG’s fund services business;
4. Liaise closely with the Global Head of EFG Fund Services regarding financial performance, client / personnel matters and all other aspects of the business in Jersey;
5. Act as a Director on client entity boards as required from time-to-time and appropriately manage resultant conflicts in accordance with EFGFS’ policies;
6. Be the relationship director for all clients of EFGFS Jersey, either through direct interaction with the key influencers within each client, or via oversight and direction of the relationship interaction where other EFGFS staff have a relationship role;
7. Act as an ‘A’ signatory in respect of EFGFS and client affairs;
8. Act as a point of contact for new business enquiries and liaise with EFGFS Managing Director, EFGFS Director of Fund Governance, Chief Operating Officer and Senior Managers to asses new opportunities, develop and write client proposals and subsequently establish and on-board new clients;
9. Undertake periodic travel in support of existing clients or in pursuit of potential new clients or introductions;
10. Oversee and direct the Jersey management function / their teams to ensure that all client requirements are identified and met and that all risks are identified and mitigated;
11. Ensure the smooth and efficient handling of client affairs by EFGFS including review of the client service teams, quality control, absence cover, etc.;
12. Organise and attend client service meetings from time-to-time to ensure that clients are receiving service levels as they expect and manage and resolve any points arising;
13. Develop the staff within the EFGFS Jersey office via on-job training, coaching and mentoring and effective staff appraisals, and ensure these attributes are also undertaken by the wider management function;
14. Assisting the HR department in staff management including welfare, performance assessment, appraisals, training and development;
15. Liaise with the EFGFS Director of Risk to ensure EFGFS’ Policies and Procedures are reviewed and amended as required providing input and guidance into devising new procedures designed to improve efficiencies;
16. In conjunction with the Chief Operating Officer, ensure that all administration and system records are up to date and to a high standard;
17. Liaise with clients, investment advisers, investment managers, custodians, legal advisers and internal and external auditors as required;
18. Ensure EFGFS’ procedures are implemented and standards met by all client facing staff within EFGFS;
19. Liaise with the EFGFS Director of Fund Governance to ensure the business undertaken and clients serviced by EFGFS all comply with regulatory requirements;
20. Ensure that client billings and WIP management are carried out correctly by staff and contributing to the achievement of EFG Fund Services targets;
21. Undertake other “ad hoc” duties as required.
