We are currently recruiting Divisional Human Resources Business Partners for our newly created divisions (Events and Luxury Divisions and the Channel Islands).
This new opportunity focuses on delivering a highly effective commercial and proactive HR service from a HR business partnering perspective. You will be a key influencer and part of the senior leadership team shaping the future within Hand Picked Hotels.
The role location is on Guernsey or Jersey in the Channel Islands and will involve travel to all Channel Islands hotels (including Alderney) and to mainland UK for internal colleague meetings.
About the Role
Note: The following responsibilities describe the core duties of the Divisional HR Business Partner role:
* Collaborate with the relevant Divisional Managing Director and Head of HRBP to develop and execute aligned people strategies and actions that deliver business goals and key performance indicators (KPIs).
* Provide thought leadership on HR issues and ensure HR initiatives contribute to achieving long-term business goals.
* Lead the people strategy and plans for the relevant business division, considering business priorities and ongoing transformation and performance improvement.
* Provide strategic and operational challenge and support to the management team across all properties to achieve service excellence; act as a change agent and drive change management initiatives relevant to the division.
* Ensure planning and initiatives to support colleagues and leaders through organisational change.
* Deliver a professional, commercial, proactive HR service, mitigating business risks through legal knowledge and Company procedures.
* Maintain knowledge of local Channel Islands employment policies and immigration laws.
About you
* 10+ years in a senior HRBP role or equivalent within the hospitality industry.
* Strong commercial acumen with the ability to apply it to people solutions and provide broad business perspective.
* Experience translating business strategy into people plans to deliver targets and financial performance.
* Ability to act as a change agent, driving continuous improvement and performance enhancement.
* Experience in organisational design and development.
* Deep employment law knowledge and ability to stay up to date with legal developments relevant to the business.
* Ability to manage complex employee relations (ER) cases.
* Knowledge of local Channel Islands employment policies and immigration laws is advantageous.
