* Driving the implementation and improvement of technology-based initiatives across the manufacturing facility by researching new and emerging technologies, carrying out feasibility studies, cost analyses, and capital expenditure proposals for new equipment
* Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and deploy smart manufacturing solutions
* Driving automation and connectivity projects to improve system-to-system communication and overall business efficiency
* Monitoring and troubleshooting integrated systems and identifying opportunities to improve production performance
* Developing and maintaining data analytics tools for process optimisation, predictive maintenance, and Real Time monitoring
* Ensuring all digital and automation projects adhere to safety, quality, (cyber) security and compliance standards
Qualification in a relevant engineering discipline or time served in a similar role (HNC/Degree)
* The ability to analyse complex problems, identify critical issues and develop solutions
* End to End experience in introducing new technologies/tools into a business from concept through to implementation
* Desirable:
* Experience gained within a manufacturing environment would be highly advantageous
* Familiarity with 2D and 3D CAD packages
* Hands on experience with tools such as Python, JavaScript, VBA etc
