You will also play an important role in shaping the future of our Data Science capability, identifying opportunities to apply emerging technologies and supporting business growth through technical input into bids and proposals.

* Provide technical guidance and mentoring to colleagues.
* Report progress and technical outputs to project stakeholders.
* Support business development activities and technical bid responses.
* Ensure data science processes and best practices are followed.

The invaluable experience you’ll bring, to help us achieve more

We expect that you have experience in a similar role, balancing technical delivery with leadership responsibilities while managing multiple priorities. You will bring strong analytical thinking, a passion for solving complex problems and the ability to communicate technical concepts to a variety of audiences.

Core skills and experience we’re looking for

* Writing scripts to provide insights into complex system performance within high‑volume synthetic environments (Python or MATLAB).
* Experience with data transformation and visualisation frameworks.
* Generating GUIs to display key data insights.
* Development of product quality software applications.
* BSc or Master’s degree in a data‑related subject.

It would be great if you also have

* A strong background in statistics and data assimilation techniques.
* Prototyping AI/ML techniques (e.g., LLMs and neuromorphic systems).
* Knowledge of Electromagnetic Spectrum systems such as Radar, Electronic Warfare or Jamming technologies.
* An interest in GPU‑accelerated architectures and high‑performance computing.
* Experience using DevOps and software development tools such as Jira and BitBucket.

Our non‑negotiables

* A UK National and eligible to work in the UK.
* Eligible to obtain and maintain a UK Government SC level security clearance.
