gap technical are proud to be representing this manufacturing business in their search for a Supply Chain Administrator to work at their facility based near Welwyn Garden City
Performance Objectives
Raise Purchase Reqs as & when required for site.
Follow through and chase approvals.
PO entry on our Systems.
Confirming Acknowledgements against PO, Challenging lead-times and price if needed
Launching Works Orders into production
Support launching works orders with nesting parts onto stock material for efficient material usage
Sorting invoice queries for all (PO amount vs Invoice rec) Raising PRs for the difference with approval.
Owning Non-Stocked POs and making sure they are booked in to release payments on time
General Cover for Supply Chain Team - Running reports, Subcon Communications, Planning Functions
Working with all departments to support any current admin procurement activities.
Ensuring material availability before works order release, preventing stoppages on the shop floor.
Coordinating with procurement for aerospace‑grade material replenishment (Sheet)
Managing traceability requirements, lot control, and certification documentation
Liaising with engineering to confirm revision changes, drawing updates, and manufacturability issues.
Ensuring quality requirements, special processes, and inspection points are reflected in works orders.
Maintaining strict adherence to aerospace audit requirements (e.g., AS9100).
Ensuring all nested parts, materials, and works orders comply with controlled document procedures.
Managing digital and physical records for traceability, material certs, and production documentation.
Updating ERP/MRP systems with accurate routing, BOM, material, and works order data.
Running checks to ensure nesting outputs match system requirements (quantities, revisions, material thickness).
Producing reports on material utilisation, order throughput, scrap levels etc.Person Specification
Comfortable and experienced in communicating via telephone and email
Experience of planning and prioritising to meet tight deadlines;
Good communication skills with the ability to communicate and liaise effectively at all levels within the Company;
Good interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain excellent working relationships with clients, suppliers, immediate team members and other production teams;
IT proficiency with the ability to input and retrieve data;
Good time management and organisational skills.
