Reports to the Lead Content Manager
We are looking for an experienced content developer to draft, manage and publish thought leadership and sales collateral, and provide day-to-day copywriting support to the marketing team across campaigns and other tactical activity.
You will work side-by-side with the Markets team and our asset class and technical specialists to showcase the knowledge that exists within our business; developing insightful and engaging content across a full range of tactics, from structuring and drafting articles, web pages and guides to creating podcasts, video content and sales collateral.
In summary, you will play an instrumental role in building and delivering a rich and varied content programme across multiple tactics and channels. This represents an exciting opportunity for a talented content specialist who would welcome the challenge of shaping and steering the content marketing efforts for a market-leading business.
Key responsibilities:
* Own and develop our thought-leadership programme in collaboration and consultation with the wider content and marketing team, technical specialists and other key stakeholders
* Steer the content ideation process, working alongside marketing colleagues and subject matter experts to determine market trends, industry and regulatory developments and other topics of interest and relevance to our target audiences
* Provide in-house specialist content support to the marketing team and the wider business, from playing a leading role in scoping out new content ideas to drafting, editing and reviewing copy
* Oversee best practice content development and execution across the Group, ensuring a clear and consistent process is adopted and relevant training and support is provided where required
* Directly engage clients and intermediaries in our thought leadership efforts, providing opportunities for our vast network of contacts to share knowledge and insights and learn from their peers
* Lead on the development of new insights across a range of forums and channels, including lunch ‘n’ learns, podcasts, webinars and video, ensuring a multi-channel approach
* Act as the content lead for marketing campaigns, drafting and coordinating copy as required
* Write and coordinate award submissions, working alongside senior product specialists to continue our track record of success in this area
* Draft engaging copy for sales collateral and business development tools, including proposals, pitches, brochures, the website and testimonials, bringing to life our messaging and differentiators
* Manage relationships with external suppliers and creative agencies, as required
Skills, knowledge, expertise:
* Demonstrable experience in marketing, communications or creative writing is desirable
* Strong financial and commercial knowledge supported by a relevant professional qualification
* Digital and social media savvy with an ability to produce content for different channels
* Attention to detail, with the ability to work closely and effectively with a diverse group of people and to establish and maintain effective and productive working relationships
* Competencies in team dynamics by leading and motivating to obtain desired results
* Excellent writing skills, with particular experience in developing thought-leadership material
