Overview
The Trauma Orthopaedic service is looking to recruit highly motivated and enthusiastic Nursing Assistants on Ward 120 at Hull Royal Infirmary. The successful candidates will be responsible for supporting the registered nursing team in providing direct high quality patient care. You will work under the supervision of the Ward Sister and in partnership with the registered nursing team. The hours of work will include 24/7 internal rotation through days and nights. The successful applicants will have the opportunity to develop their skills in orthopaedic nursing. A willingness to become link nurses in specific areas of patient care – e.g. Dementia, Nutrition, Infection Prevention – is essential.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the registered nursing team in delivering direct high quality patient care.
* Work under the supervision of the Ward Sister and in partnership with the registered nursing team.
* Participate in 24/7 internal rotation rounds through days and nights.
* Develop nursing skills in orthopaedic care and act as link nurse in specified areas of patient care such as Dementia, Nutrition and Infection Prevention.
