Job Description:
Purpose
The Mechanical Supervisor is a key role within the Maintenance team to support the safe operation of assets, plant productivity, and reliability. As the Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor, you will:
* Report directly to the Maintenance Manager and supervise Mechanical Maintenance Technicians and Mechanical Shift Maintenance Technicians.
* Oversee all mechanical maintenance tasks, ensuring safety standards and industry regulations are followed.
* Work closely with operations to meet quality requirements related to ISO standards and cGMP, including contamination prevention.
* Take full responsibility for Mechanical Maintenance activities, ensuring tasks are completed safely and timely.
* Collaborate with Planning & Scheduling team and Site Engineers to increase plant reliability.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
* Maintain Health, Safety, and Environmental standards during all work activities.
* Manage the Mechanical Maintenance team, including work allocation, reviewing work packs, and ensuring RAMS are adequate.
* Monitor work progress and communicate updates to all parties.
* Handle priority work from defect identification to completion, including raising PRs and organizing resources.
* Ensure documentation and closure of work orders in the CMMS system.
* Manage team timekeeping, holidays, disciplinary issues, and deputies.
* Coordinate with the Maintenance Planner to develop job packs and schedules.
* Contribute to Root Cause Analyses and follow-up actions to improve equipment performance.
* Provide first-line problem solving for mechanical faults and work delivery issues.
* Participate in continuous improvement activities to enhance PMs and equipment reliability.
SHEQ
* Ensure all Environmental, Health & Safety requirements are met during maintenance tasks.
* Promote a positive safety culture within the team.
* Ensure work is performed safely and according to company guidelines.
* Report accidents, near misses, and safety improvements.
Equipment Management
* Ensure timely completion of PMs, compliance, and regulatory work orders.
* Supervise Mechanical Technicians and coordinate with OEM contractors for inspections and future tasks.
