SEN Teaching Assistant – Redbridge - Immediate Start
Are you a teaching assistant looking to gain further experience working with and supporting children with additional needs? Are you a psychology graduate seeking to build experience in an SEN school? Create Education is looking for enthusiastic individuals for exciting opportunities working with a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU).
The PRU is commissioned by the local authority to provide 48 Key Stage 3/4 placements for students unable to access mainstream education due to behavioural, emotional, or social difficulties. It focuses on ensuring equality of access and tailored support to promote progress in behavior management and academic achievement.
This placement is for the remainder of the academic year, starting immediately, with potential extension into the next academic year. It offers a valuable opportunity to support students in need and to develop your career in the mental health and SEN sectors, with the possibility of permanent employment.
Job Details:
* Position: SEN Teaching Assistant – Redbridge
* Working with different types of SEN: Sensory, Speech and Language, Challenging Behaviour
* Supporting students across KS3 and KS4
* Start: As soon as possible
* Full-time role
* Salary: £90-110 per day
Person Specification:
* Recent graduate in any discipline; Psychology, Sociology, and Criminology graduates are especially encouraged to apply

Responsibilities:
* Assist in the educational and social development of students with SEN
* Support teachers with implementing individualized education plans (IEPs), especially for children with autism
* Foster a positive learning environment through effective communication and engagement
* Collaborate with staff to enhance teaching strategies and student support
