Role: Social Value Manager
Location: Wakefield, West Yorkshire
Salary: £45,000/£50,000 + Package
As a Social Value Manager, you will:
1. Liaise with the Customer, dealing with different stakeholders from Councillors, Clients to Local residents.
2. Focus on Employment and Skills plan opportunities for people from the local borough.
3. Challenge the supply chain to ensure we maximise and fill the opportunities for apprentices and work experience placements on the project.
4. Complete quarterly ESP returns.
5. Look at ways to work with the community on the project to maximise the Considerate Constructors scheme requirements.
6. Work with local schools, charities, etc.
7. Lead all external project communications (Newsletters, Project website updates, project social media updates).
8. Deal with any comments, questions, or complaints on the project from local residents in a professional and efficient way, including visiting residents' homes to resolve issues.
9. Keep local councillors and project stakeholders updated on the project and any external communications.
10. Attend and chair a resident's forum with the Project Director every 3 months.
11. Implement, manage, and take ownership of Social Value Plans for the Yorkshire region.
12. Provide support and assist teams in meeting Social Value targets.
13. Provide reports on progress to Senior Management.
14. Identify new innovative ways to meet and exceed customer requirements.
15. Collate and report back to framework managers on progress.
16. Identify concerns and solutions to enable teams to deliver Social Value requirements.
17. Work with the Business Development/Marketing team to maximise social media and PR exposure to highlight social value achievements.
18. Identify, through networking and engagement with public and private sector bodies, future social value requirements relating to the construction sector.
19. Regular travel required throughout the Yorkshire region.
