About the Role
Technical Lecturer – Plumbing in the Construction department of Central Bedfordshire College.
Responsibilities include:
* Teaching and delivering engaging, practical lessons across Plumbing programmes (Levels 1–3).
* Planning curriculum, schemes of work and developing high‑quality teaching resources.
* Assessing learner progress, providing feedback, and implementing support interventions.
* Managing classroom and workshop environments, ensuring health & safety compliance.
* Participating in course development, team meetings and promotional activities while upholding safeguarding, EDI, health & safety and CPD standards.
About You
* Level 3 qualification in a relevant subject with Level 2 English and maths, plus strong industry skills and practical experience.
* Ability to deliver engaging vocational teaching across multiple levels.
* Knowledge of assessment, quality assurance processes and health & safety in practical settings.
* Strong organisational and communication skills, capable of managing workload and working within a team.
* Commitment to continuous professional development, safeguarding, and a flexible, learner‑centred approach.
