My client is looking for an Operations Manager for our Cambridge branch to manage a team of engineers. They will, alongside their team, be responsible for organising the team's diaries, day-to-day people management, and dealing with customers.
Responsibilities:
1. Lead a friendly team installing air source and ground source heat pumps
2. Organise the daily operations of the team
3. Learn about all the renewable products we provide and support their installation
4. Liaise with sales to ensure all installation information is correct
5. Maintain organisation and efficiency to a high standard
6. Work with the site team to ensure site preparation is complete and manage all work in progress through to completion and commissioning
7. Communicate effectively with customers to explain how the products and systems work and maintain high customer service standards
8. Ensure all information is correctly collated for commissioning paperwork
9. Liaise with finance to ensure accurate information for invoicing
10. Support the technical team with faults and call-outs
11. Manage your team, including planning and delivering personal development, with regular feedback and 1-to-1 meetings to support their growth and career progression
12. Handle annual leave requests and other absences, ensuring appropriate team coverage
Experience required:
1. Experience within a similar industry
2. Line management experience with a team of engineers
3. Knowledge of construction, building fabric, and renewable technologies
4. Exceptional organisational and time management skills
5. Positive attitude and strong problem-solving skills
6. Extensive experience with Microsoft 365 packages
7. Full UK driving licence
