Are you passionate about making a real difference in people’s lives? We’re looking for an experienced and caring Mental Health Recovery Worker to join our dedicated team at Albany House – a CQC Registered home supporting people with severe and enduring mental health challenges.
About Albany House
Albany House is a small, CQC‑registered service that supports up to eight people living with severe and enduring mental illness. We provide a warm, recovery‑focused environment where individuals can build confidence, develop daily living skills, manage their finances, and work towards goals like education, training or employment. Our aim is simple: to help each person move forward at their own pace and live a more independent, fulfilling life.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will support individuals on their recovery journey, helping them build skills, confidence and independence. Your work will include:
* Providing one‑to‑one key‑worker support and building positive, professional relationships
* Carrying out assessments and developing personalised support and safety plans
* Encouraging people to manage their mental and physical wellbeing
* Supporting individuals with daily living skills and accessing community services
* Liaising with mental health agencies, professionals and community groups
* Contributing to safeguarding and promoting a safe, supportive environment
* Keeping accurate records, monitoring progress and sharing information with the team
* Helping improve the service by offering feedback and supporting colleagues
Qualifications
* Experience supporting people with mental illness or in a social care setting (paid or voluntary)
* Great listening skills, empathy, patience, and kindness
* Ability to work with digital systems (Microsoft applications, email, internet)
