The Senior Product Manager for Live Services is a senior role within the Digital Products function, responsible for the full lifecycle management of the Trust's core applications. The postholder provides leadership to the Applications Management Team, maximising efficiency and leading by example to ensure the delivery of a high-quality service. A key focus of the role is to work with managers and healthcare professionals to understand their business needs, establish best practices, and contribute to the Trust's Service Improvement Programme. Strategically, the manager will contribute to the development of the Digital Services Annual Plan and advise the Trust on making the best use of its systems.
Operationally, the postholder is responsible for ensuring all changes to live systems are implemented in a controlled manner, minimising disruption to services. This involves working closely with technical teams to transition changes into the live environment safely. The manager will coordinate incident management during software failures, ensure Root Cause Analysis is completed following major incidents, and maintain comprehensive documentation, including release schedules and operational procedures for all core products. The role is based at the QMC campus with support for hybrid working, though travel between campuses and nationally will be required.
