Key Purpose of Role
Reporting into the Commercial Director you will lead the development, innovation and sustainability agenda of premium packaging solutions for Cartwright and Butler. You will work closely with the head of NPD & Innovation along with the marketing and sales team to develop market leading, on brand packaging solutions across a range of channels and products.
You will ensure every element of packaging from concept to launch is delivered on time in line with internal and customer expectations to support our ambitious growth plans.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, specify and launch innovative packaging solutions to drive growth for Cartwright & Butler.
* Evaluate materials for performance, sustainability, and compliance within the desired commercial parameters.
* Collaborate with suppliers, manufacturers, marketing, and supply chain teams.
* Working closely with Technical to ensure packaging meets food safety / consumer goods regulations.
* Be the go to for packaging trends, materials, and sustainability innovations.
Required Experience & Skills
* Proven experience in packaging development and a track record of delivering first to market innovation.
* Understanding of sustainability, recyclability, and environmental impact of packaging.
* Experience working with retail customers, suppliers and production partners.
* Strong project management and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to balance a passion for creativeness & design whilst considering commercial and technical perspectives.
