Project Accountant Burton-on-Trent £55,000 - £60,000 depending on experience Working closely with the Head of FP&A, Project Managers, and senior stakeholders, this role is responsible for project-related financial activities, including accurate month-end closing, compliance with UK GAAP, and supporting strategic decision-making. The Project Accountant is accountable for managing project finances, ensuring robust reporting and analysis, challenging performance, improving forecasting, and partnering with teams to deliver financial insight. Key responsibilities: * Month-End Closing for projects * Run initial revenue recognition process in SAP and review anomalies * POC accounting treatments under UK GAAP * Post intercompany accruals and adjustments * Project Financial Management: monitoring project profitability and investigate unusual trends * Forecasting & analysis, projecting cashflow and providing variance * Close AP, AR, materials ledger, and timesheets in SAP * Business Partnering: working closely with varied stake holders, monitoring performance, cost-to-complete, and forecasting accuracy Qualifications and Experience: * Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with at least 5 years of post-qualification experience * 3 years of experience in project accounting, preferably within manufacturing or engineering sectors * Strong knowledge of UK GAAP * SAP project reporting desirable; strong Excel skills essential * Ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights * Strong business partnering and communication skills * Please apply with your CV
