Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Hours: Monday to Thursday, 8:30am – 4:30pm | Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm (36.5 hours per week)

About the Role:
We are recruiting for an experienced and driven Manufacturing Manager to lead the production operations of a well-established and fast-paced business based in Nottinghamshire. This is a hands-on leadership role, working closely with the senior management team to drive efficiency, improve operational performance, and deliver excellence across the manufacturing function.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a high-mix, low-volume production environment and is passionate about continuous improvement, data-driven decision-making, and people development.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee all aspects of production to achieve volume and value-based targets
* Plan and manage daily, weekly, and monthly schedules to minimise backlog and meet service KPIs
* Report on progress against plans, highlighting risks and recommending mitigations
* Lead, coach, and develop the manufacturing team, promoting personal growth and succession planning
* Support continuous improvement through Lean, 5S, and Theory of Constraints principles
* Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and all HSE regulations
* Collaborate with sales, e-commerce, and customer service teams to improve delivery and product development
* Partner with finance to manage budgets, monitor KPIs, and control costs
* Drive digitisation and automation of variable customer data for cross-departmental use
* Play a key role in shaping strategy and profitability as part of the senior management team
* Support recruitment, training matrix development, and performance management objectives
* Act as a keyholder and be available for on-call support when required
What We’re Looking For:
* Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing or production environment
* Strong knowledge of managing short lead-time, bespoke, high-mix product ranges
* Experience implementing Lean tools and driving cultural and process improvements
* Excellent interpersonal and team-building skills with a collaborative management style
* Commercially aware, with a results-driven approach to operational goals
* Proficient in production planning tools, KPIs, and continuous improvement methodologies
* Strong focus on Health & Safety, Environmental standards, and compliance
* A ‘hands-on’ approach, comfortable being active on the production floor
