Daily Rate: £339.33 PAYE / £450.32 Umbrella

The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Cloud Platform Engineer to join a high-performing Software Engineering team. This role offers the opportunity to design, build, test, and deploy scalable cloud application solutions that seamlessly integrate cloud and on-premise infrastructure.
You will play a key role in shaping cloud architecture decisions, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and delivering innovative solutions that enhance operational efficiency and system performance.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, develop, test, and deploy secure and scalable cloud-based solutions.
* Provision and manage cloud infrastructure and platform environments.
* Develop proof-of-architecture solutions to validate security, scalability, and performance.
* Act as a subject matter expert, supporting technical decision-making and best practices.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of cloud services.
* Conduct regular reviews of cloud architecture to identify optimisation opportunities.
* Provide technical leadership and mentor junior engineers.
* Stay current with emerging cloud technologies and industry trends to drive continuous improvement.
Required Skills & Experience
* Advanced proficiency in Google App Engine (GAE).
* Strong expertise in Cloud Infrastructure and Cloud Platform Architecture.
* Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Storage.
* Working knowledge of Terraform (Infrastructure as Code).
* Proven ability to work across multiple teams and contribute to key architectural decisions.
* Experience mentoring or guiding junior team members.
